We encourage international students to apply for this opportunity if they wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Canada. The scholarship will be awarded for the 2024–2021 school year.
AIL Acadia Scholarship 2024 Application Details
This annual scholarship is of national stature and has extensive selection standards that take into account every facet of your growth.
The recipient will have the traits of both John and Anne Wilson: he or she will be enterprising, actively engaged in the Sackville, New Brunswick, community, and have the capacity to both contribute to and profit from an Acadia University education. In order to be eligible, the recipient must have completed university preparation courses with a minimum overall average of 80% in grades 10, 11, and the first semester of Grade 12.

With the value of up to $38,000, the scholarship was founded in 2005 because of the Wilson family’s generosity. Furthermore, the award comes with a $22,000 residence scholarship from Acadia University, good for each of the student’s four years there. Please take note that students must have at least an 80% average in grades 11 and 12 in order to be eligible for this award.
Value: $38,000 + $22,000 (residence scholarship) over 4 years.

- An essay outlining your leadership, extracurricular, and career goals, as well as how you want to contribute to the Acadia community, should be sent. Two pages maximum, please.
- A one-page letter indicating what winning this award would mean to you.
- One letter of recommendation on official letterhead from your school counsellor, principal, or a high school teacher.
- One letter from an employer, volunteer organization or a character reference from someone (nonfamily) who has known you for at least two years. Please include his/her telephone number.
